The Old Cigar Warehouse hosting CNN Town Hall

February 17, 2016

The Old Cigar Warehouse will be center stage as CNN hosts a Republican town hall from inside this historic Greenville Main Street venue Wednesday night.

The town hall will be broadcast live from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. with candidates Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Marco Rubio, and Dr. Ben Carson participating. CNN’s Anderson Cooper will moderate the event, which will be followed Thursday by a similar town hall in Columbia. This will be a closed event.

“We are very excited to be representing the City of Greenville in this historic event,” said Tammy Johnson, owner of The Old Cigar Warehouse. “We welcome any opportunity to make Greenville shine.”

The Old Cigar Warehouse is one of the Upstate’s most popular event venues, hosting more than 200 events each ranging from weddings to corporate parties to galas to non-profit fundraisers. The venue opened in 2013, and is located in one of Main Street’s oldest buildings, Johnson said. It has been honored with numerous industry awards since opening.

“There is a lot of work involved in getting ready for any event like this, but coordination is one of our hallmarks,” Johnson said.
