The Old Cigar Warehouse to host Venue Showcase

August 2, 2019

Upstate brides will get the opportunity to tour one of the region’s leading wedding venues while meeting with a host of top-end vendors at The Old Cigar Warehouse in August.

The award-winning venue will be hosting an showcase event on Tuesday, August 13 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m, when the 7,000 square-foot space will be set up in a mock ceremony and reception for engaged couples and other event planners to see and meet event professionals from The Old Cigar Warehouse’s preferred list. Along with the list of preferred professionals, the showcase also will offer a complimentary wine tasting featuring a selection of wines from the venue’s favored list.

“Event planning can be daunting,” said Tammy Johnson, owner of High Spirits Hospitality, a parent company of The Old Cigar Warehouse’s. “This mock wedding gives guests a chance to see and imagine the venue and local vendors in action.”

Built in 1882 and originally used as a warehouse to store cotton and cigars, The Old Cigar Warehouse was renovated in 2013 as an event venue. After a careful and detailed restoration, the building is now one of the most iconic and historic landmarks in Greenville. The Old Cigar Warehouse is highlighted within the WeddingWire Network, receiving the Couple’s Choice Award for Ceremony and Reception Space six years.

Individuals are encouraged to register online at www.oldcigarwarehouse.com and drop by at their convenience, while also allowing themselves plenty of time to see everything the showcase has to offer. The assorted list of more than 25 vendors includes well-known local favorites such as The Dressing Room South, Cureton Photography, Holly’s Cakes, Nard’s Backyard BBQ, Renee Burroughs Design and Uptown Entertainment.

“We are delighted to connect brides and grooms to the best local vendors,” Johnson said.
