The Peace Center unveiled its two new music venues –– The Mockingbird and Coach Music Factory –– along with a new Arts Education Center and Artist Dorms, during a media-only press conference.
The Mockingbird
The Peace Center officially opens the doors to The Mockingbird on January 16 and 17, 2026, unveiling a bespoke new listening room designed for music lovers who crave artistry, intimacy, and connection. Located on Main Street as part of the Peace Center campus in the heart of downtown Greenville, the 180-seat venue debuts as one of the most anticipated cultural additions to the city’s vibrant arts scene.
Tailor-made for musicians, songwriters and storytellers, The Mockingbird blends timeless character with modern elegance. Purposefully designed for close listening, the venue offers a refined yet relaxed atmosphere where every lyric lands, every story resonates, and audiences feel part of the performance. From the plush lounge seating to the handsome finishes and impeccable acoustics, The Mockingbird is destined to become a marquee Greenville experience.
The first music venue to open as part of the Peace Center’s ambitious campus expansion, The Mockingbird helps fulfill a long-term strategic vision to create a fully integrated, 10-venue arts and entertainment complex. The space fills a long-standing void in the Upstate for an intimate listening room devoted to acclaimed songwriters and performers, offering a setting where stories matter as much as sound

The Peace Center officially opens Coach Music Factory on Saturday, February 7, 2026, unleashing a bold new era of live music in downtown Greenville. Built for movement and fueled by energy, the two-story, standing-room-only venue debuts with an opening night performance by soul-soaked G. Love & Special Sauce, followed by other announced artists, the electrifying The Lone Bellow (March 27) and Grammy-winning modern bluegrass band, The Infamous Stringdusters (April 26).
With the entrance located on Graham Plaza between the Peace Concert Hall and Gunter Theatre, Coach Music Factory is where live music meets nightlife—raw, electric, and unapologetically fun. With a capacity of 1,100, the venue is designed for fans who want to be on their feet, close to the stage, and fully in the moment.
Originally built in 1857 as a horse-drawn carriage factory and blacksmith shop, the historic structure has been reimagined into a modern music powerhouse. Original brick walls and hardwood floors meet sleek, industrial design, while a retractable glass door behind the stage paints a natural backdrop of the Peace Center campus beyond.
Inside, the vibe is all about flow and freedom. Three full-service bars keep drinks within reach, and an outdoor patio balcony behind the stage overlooks the The Pavilion outdoor amphitheatre, The Wyche, and the Reedy River. Whether you’re front row, mezzanine-level, or catching a breather outside, every angle keeps you connected to the music.
The third floor has been repurposed into a unique private event space available for weddings, corporate events and other special occasions.
