The Spartanburg County Foundation welcomes Vic Bailey as New Trustee

The Spartanburg County Foundation announced the election of Vollie C. (Vic) Bailey, III to the Board of Trustees for a term of seven years.

Mr. Bailey received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from The Citadel and Juris Doctor Degree from Mississippi College School of Law. He is the current President and Chairman of Vic Bailey Automotive.

Mr. Bailey brings extensive knowledge, community leadership experience, and financial expertise to The Spartanburg County Foundation’s Board of Trustees. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve and attained the rank of Captain. He is a graduate of Leadership Spartanburg and is a member of the Leadership Spartanburg Alumni Association. Mr. Bailey has served on several boards that span a variety of community indicators, such as the Spartanburg Chamber of Commerce, United Way of the Piedmont, USC Upstate Foundation, and Wofford College Parents Council. Mr. Bailey continues to serve on community and professional boards, including Carolina Alliance Bank, Spartanburg County Commission for Higher Education, Spartanburg Regional Foundation, and Spartanburg Day School. In addition to his extensive community involvement, he was named the 2012 South Carolina Time Magazine Dealer of the Year.

Vic and his wife, Lynn, reside in Spartanburg and have three children; Vic Bailey, IV, Leslie Bailey Calicutt, and Neely Bailey Darr.
