100% Infrared Green Grilling Offering Authentic Charbroil Flavor And No Flare-Up

COLUMBIA, SC – May 7, 2009 – The new G-Sport, introduced by TEC(R) Infrared Grills, won Hearth and Home Magazine’s 2009 VESTA Award for Best New Gas Barbeque at the Home, Patio, and Barbeque Association Show in Reno. TEC’s most versatile and affordable full-size grill (retail $1499), the G-Sport employs a patent-pending, 100% infrared grilling system that has the lowest turndown of any infrared grill available today. On low fire it smokes (200 degrees F), on high fire it sears (800 degrees F), and large pieces of meat cook to perfection without a rotisserie.

Because the G-Sport cooks with 100% infrared energy, there is no hot air to dry out food, so food retains more of its own natural juices. Even well done meats remain tender and juicy. And by eliminating the hot air (oxygen) associated with grilling, this grill also prevents flare-up that creates charring of food that has been linked to cancer in recent medical studies. The new burner system also distributes heat evenly across the cooking grids. Every square inch of grilling surface is available for cooking because there are no hot or cold spots. This uniform distribution of heat in combination with the speed of infrared grilling enables the G-Sport to cook more than twice the food of comparable size convection grills.

The G-Sport is designed for multiple uses — on an optional stand or as a tabletop/countertop model and is the only full size grill tested and approved to operate on top of combustible surfaces, such as wood. Designed to be used with a 20 lb LP gas tank, the G-Sport can be converted for natural gas use with a TEC(R) conversion kit and provides fuel efficient, green grilling. In fact, laboratory tests indicate that the patent pending conversion burner system employed by the G-Sport cooks food more than twice as fast as traditional convection grills and with less fuel input per unit area of grid cooking surface, thus providing energy savings of more than 50%. And because the volume of CO2 emitted by a burner is directly proportionate to the amount of fuel consumed, the result of this savings is that CO2 emissions are also reduced by more than 50%.

TEC(R) Infrared Grills is a division of Thermal Engineering Corporation. With over 100 patents and patents pending, Thermal Engineering Corporation has been the leader in the development and implementation of fuel efficient, infrared energy systems for almost fifty years.
