Theresa McClure joins HNTB as a national practice consultant

Seasoned industry leader brings extensive strategic communications and facilitation expertise to elevate client service

Theresa McClure has joined HNTB as a national practice consultant and vice president, bringing more than two decades of extensive leadership and strategic communication expertise. As part of HNTB’s National Growth Office, McClure will concentrate on strengthening client relationships and providing high level facilitation services to support the most significant projects and programs of HNTB’s clients.

“Theresa is an accomplished advisor with a wealth of expertise in the infrastructure industry and a strong track record of delivering extraordinary value to clients,” said Michelle Graham, HNTB chief growth officer and senior vice president. “Her commitment to driving strategic processes and facilitating successful outcomes will be invaluable to our clients and HNTB.”

Prior to HNTB, McClure led a strategic communications practice for a global consulting firm. She directed a diverse team of communication professionals who delivered communications and engagement activities for major transportation programs across the country.

“We’re very excited to have Theresa join us in South Carolina where she will play a key role in implementing HNTB’s growth strategy for the state,” said Bryan Jones, HNTB Mid-Atlantic division president and senior vice president. “Her experience will be critical in supporting our clients’ success on the east coast and beyond.”

McClure currently holds key positions within industry organizations, serving as both the vice president and Communications Committee chair for the American Council of Engineering Companies and Infrastructure Works Institute in South Carolina. Additionally, she acts as the Special Events Committee chair for the South Carolina Chapter of Women’s Transportation Seminar and is active in Transportation Research Board.

McClure earned a master’s degree in strategic public relations from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
