Three PC Soccer Players Earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Honors

Presbyterian Blue Hose men’s soccer players sophomore defender Jamari Busby and seniors defender Ryan Galloway and midfielder Lorenzo Nagy earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors. With these three players capturing this academic accolade, the Blue Hose have had eight players in the program’s history named to the College Sports Communicators Division I Academic All-District team.
The 2023 Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. With their selections, Busby, Galloway, and Nagy move onto the CSC Academic All-America ballot, and the Academic All-American teams will be announced in mid-December.
In order to be included on the CSC’s Academic All-District team, one must have maintained a minimum of a 3.5 grade-point average out of the traditional 4.0 scale, while also participating in at least 90 percent of the team’s matches through the 2023 season.

Played a major role on the Blue Hose defense. Helped a Blue Hose defense record two shutouts while limiting five foes to a goal or less. Assisted on the game-winning goal in Presbyterian’s road win at UNC Asheville. Scored his first career goal in Presbyterian’s 2-2 tie at Furman. Big South Academic Honor Roll 2022-2023. President’s List Fall 2022, Spring 2023.

An anchor on the Blue Hose defense which recorded two shutouts while limiting five foes to a goal or less this season. Scored his first career goal in Presbyterian’s program record-breaking 8-1 win over Southern Wesleyan on August 24. Big South Academic Honor Roll 2022-2023.
