THRIVE Laurens County hosts two free Community Listening Sessions in Waterloo and Mountville
April 2, 2026Residents across Laurens County invited to share their voices, enjoy a free meal, and help shape a healthier community
THRIVE Laurens County, a local coalition of residents, organizations, and institutions working together to improve health and well-being in rural communities, will host two upcoming Community Listening Sessions open to residents across Laurens County. Both events are free and will feature boxed meals, children’s activities, and gift cards for registered families.
These gatherings will bring neighbors together to share what matters most to them, whether that’s access to healthy foods, opportunities for active living, or stronger community connections.
Mountville Session: Monday, April 27, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Mountville Schoolhouse Fellowship Hall | 1336 Mountville Road, Mountville, SC 29370
Waterloo Session: Tuesday, April 28, 2026 | 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Waterloo Town Hall Office | 93 Coyote Drive, Waterloo, SC 29384
Space is limited to 30–40 attendees for this session. Early registration is strongly encouraged.
Both sessions will include:
● Free boxed meal for all attendees
● Fun activities for children
● One $20.00 Food Lion gift card per registered family
“We’re excited to hear directly from residents across Laurens County about what health and wellness looks like in their communities,” said Jervelle Fort, Co-Chair of the THRIVE Laurens County Coalition. “Our goal is to create a space where everyone feels heard, valued, and empowered to help shape a healthier, more connected Laurens County.”
Space is limited, particularly in Waterloo. Residents are strongly encouraged to register in advance via Eventbrite to secure their spot and ensure gift card availability.
