Thunderfest returns to Irmo

Thunderfest (formerly known as Carolina Shout) is returning to Harbison Theatre. On Saturday, May 6, families of the Midlands are invited out to Midlands Technical College’s Harbison Campus to take part in a afternoon filled with music the whole family can enjoy. Three local artists – The Reggie Sullivan Band, Iliana Rose Salsa Band, and Station Seven – will be sure to bring all the good vibes!
Reggie Sullivan, the lead singer and bassist for The Reggie Sullivan Band, has produced the festival since its inception. Sullivan utilizes his platform to elevate and feature diverse, local artists from across the Midlands. Harbison Theatre is committed to hosting a space for the arts to thrive in our local community. Through these joint efforts, Thunderfest was reimagined.
Thunderfest is proud to be a family-friendly outdoor event with free on-site parking, face paintings, food trucks, giveaways, and more! Participants are strongly encouraged to bring lawn chairs, beach blankets, towels, and maybe some sunscreen to enjoy an afternoon of music underneath the canopy.
“What a better way to usher in warmer weather than a family-friendly music festival,” said Krisitin Cobb, executive director of Harbison Theatre. “We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to support local artists and provide that connection to the arts within our community.”
