Tickets for Prince George’s Tour of Historic Homes and Plantations are now available
February 2, 2026Entering its 79th year, the Prince George Winyah Church Women are once again hosting its Tour of Historic Plantations and Homes on March 27 and 28, 2026, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, rain or shine. Tickets are required — $70 for a single day pass and $130 for the two-day option. As the tour frequently sells out, advanced ticket purchases are strongly recommended and may be purchased through the tour website.
This self-guided tour provides visitors with a unique opportunity to explore select historic plantations, town homes, and gardens located around Georgetown County. Both days start with a tour of the historic 305-year-old Prince George Winyah Church on Broad Street.
All Saints Cemetary

Then on Saturday, March 28, the tour features properties along the Black, Pee Dee and Waccamaw Rivers: Prince Frederick Chapel of Ease, Exchange Plantation, Chicora Wood Plantation (grounds only), Arundel Plantation (grounds only), Black River House (grounds only), Mansfield Plantation (grounds only), Rosemont Plantation, Arcadia Plantation (grounds only), All Saints Parish Churchyard (grounds only), the Jane Scott House, the Michael Manheim House and East Bay House.
According to Virginia Dugan, chairwoman of the annual tour, proceeds from the tours and supplemental events support the church’s Preservation Trust to maintain its historic church buildings as well as the church’s mission and outreach activities. “These significant funds make a difference in the lives of the poor, the friendless, and the needy in our community, which continues to be our prayerful aim in this endeavor,” Dugan shared.
When purchasing tickets during the presale, guests have the option of buying bagged lunches made by the Prince George Winyah Church Women for a cost of $7.00 each. The lunches include a sandwich (Friday: Turkey Salad; Saturday: Pimiento Cheese), chips, apple, dessert, and a prayer. Pre-purchased bagged lunches will be available for pick-up the day of the tour across the street from Prince George Winyah at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (317 Broad Street, Georgetown, SC) as the Prince George Parish Hall is undergoing a massive renovation.

The event also features an Art and Food Sale, where tour participants and the public may browse selections of local art and enjoy delicious food items prepared and donated by local artisans for sale. Like the lunch pick-up, the Art and Food Sale will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm each day of the tour, and no tickets are required. All items are donated, and proceeds support outreach missions and the preservation of the Prince George Winyah church buildings.
