Tickets Still Available for “The Threads That Bind” — A Tribute to Joanna’s History and Comeback

March 25, 2026

Time is running out to be part of a meaningful evening that celebrates the rich heritage and hopeful future of Joanna.

The The Joanna Project is inviting the community to attend The Threads That Bind: A Musical & Historical Journey of Joanna, Its Textile Mill, and Baseball Legacy on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Newberry Opera House.

This unique production blends music, storytelling, and local history to honor the legacy of Joanna’s textile mill and its beloved baseball tradition, while also casting a vision for restoration and renewal.

More than just a performance, the event serves a greater purpose: supporting the ongoing effort to restore Historic Joanna Stadium. Every ticket purchased directly contributes to preserving this landmark and ensuring its story continues for future generations.

The evening will feature a strong lineup of local talent and special guests, including Gary Alexander; Alex Eubanks and Ricky Hess; and Three Quarter Time with Merritt Moseley, Ann Moseley, and Billy Summer. The performance will also showcase The Joanna Project Backline Band featuring Andrew Evans, Mike Reid, Michael Riefsnyder, and Munson Summer. The program will be narrated by Buddy Bridges, guiding attendees through the story of Joanna with insight and heart.

Organizers emphasize that this is more than a show—it’s a community effort to protect and celebrate a shared history that has shaped generations.

Tickets are still available, and those interested are encouraged to secure their seats for an evening that promises to inspire, entertain, and make a lasting impact.
