Tour of Faiths in Greenville continues through July

July 18, 2019

Can you picture yourself learning about the Islamic faith among the minarets of Turkey, or in an Indian ashram studying Hinduism? Now you have the chance to learn about different faiths and cultures without ever leaving Greenville. Join The Atlantic Institute of Greenville in partnership with Upstate International, and the Interfaith Forum, in July on our annual Tour of Faiths.

Each week we will have an opportunity to visit a different local place of worship, learn more about their faiths, experience services and meet new people with a wide range of cultural and religious backgrounds. We plan to hold tours at a mosque, a synagogue or temple, various churches and other places of worship to learn more about typical services and the role that each plays in their religion. By exploring the many diverse faiths and religions of Greenville, we hope to facilitate a deeper understanding in order to turn neighbors into friends.

Each stop on our Tour of Faiths features a different faith, belief system, or ideology. Greenville is an incredibly diverse city full of different cultures, so this exploration of faiths becomes both spiritual and social. We wish to extend an invitation to participate in the free event that is completely open to the public. Information on the various faith organizations and any dress code or other requirements will be listed on our website: click here.
