Town of Lexington Seeks Proposals for Purchase of ‘Shirey’s on Main’

LEXINGTON, SC – The Town of Lexington is soliciting proposals (which would provide the greatest investment) for the purchase and redevelopment of the ‘Shirey’s on Main’ building located at 101 W. Main Street.
The building is centrally located in the downtown area adjacent to the Town’s downtown revitalization program, Project Icehouse, that will bring retail shops, new parking and a new amphitheater to the area. The Town of Lexington envisions the building being redeveloped into a mixed use site with retail or a restaurant use combined with an office or residential use.

The deadline for receipt of proposals is 2 p.m. local time, November 7, 2014 to the attention of John Hanson at the Lexington Municipal Complex (Town Hall), 111 Maiden Lane, Lexington SC, 29072. Proposals received after 2pm will not be accepted. The winning proposal, if one is selected, will be approved by Town Council. Proposals will be binding for one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days from the date they are opened.
