Trails, Bikes, and America 250: Clinton Hosts National Trails Day Celebration June 6

June 1, 2026

Families from across the Upstate are invited to lace up their running shoes, grab their bicycles, and celebrate National Trails Day on Saturday, June 6, at the
Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Loop Trail, 291 Professional Park Road, Clinton. Hosted by the Laurens County Trails Association, the event will transform the trail into a hub of activity featuring a 5K Run, 2K Fun Run/Walk, Kids Bike Rodeo, Healthy Living Fair, America 250 Family Fun Zone, live music, community exhibits, and raffle prizes.

National Trails Day is celebrated nationwide each year on the first Saturday in June and brings together outdoor enthusiasts, families, trail advocates, cyclists, runners, and walkers to enjoy and promote America’s trail systems.

“National Trails Day is about bringing people together outdoors,” said Jamie Bates Adair of the Laurens County Trails Association. “Whether you’re a runner, cyclist, walker, or simply looking for a fun family outing, this event offers something for everyone while showcasing the incredible recreational opportunities available right here in the Upstate.”

The celebration also ties into America’s 250th anniversary observance by featuring family-friendly games and activities inspired by early American traditions.

Organizers expect participants from across the region and hope the event will introduce many residents to the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail and the growing trail network throughout Laurens County.
