Transformation thru Divorce opens office in Columbia, SC

Debbie Martinez, president of Transformation thru Divorce, LLC is carrying the torch for divorce coaching and co-parenting in South Carolina as she expands her practice from Charleston to Columbia.
The American Bar Association recognizes divorce coaching as “a flexible, goal-oriented process designed to support, motivate and guide people going through divorce to help them make the best possible decisions for their future, based on their particular interests, needs and concerns.”
Martinez is a certified life coach, Florida Supreme Court Certified family mediator and Florida Supreme Court qualified arbitrator. She received collaborative divorce training in Florida and South Carolina and currently serves on the executive board for the South Carolina Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Martinez has a MA from University of South Florida in education and was a behavior specialist for the school system for five years before becoming a consultant in private practice.
As a divorce coach, Martinez works with clients to create a roadmap through divorce and life after. She offers solution-based guidance, conflict management, co-parent planning and communication skills, help with attorneys and organizational assistance. For post-divorce clients, Martinez creates a defined action plan that addresses employment, single parenting, difficult ex-spouses, problem solving, dating and navigating emotions.
Martinez has given workshops and lectures on various topics pertaining to divorce, women’s issues and relationships. She has been featured in The New York Times, is a regular contributor to Huffington Post and her morning talk and advice segment, Debbie Does Divorce, can be seen during Lowcountry Live on WCIV – ABC News 4 in Charleston, SC twice per month.
