Tri-County Faculty and Staff Receive Awards for Service to College and State
August 18, 2014PENDLETON, SC – A Tri-County Technical College employee was recognized for four decades of service to the College and the State at an annual convocation.
Glenn Hellenga, of Townville, director of career services, received a 40-year pin for his years of service to the College and the State.
Denise Hall, of Travelers Rest, director of printing services, received a pin for 30 years of service to the College and the State.
Dr. Hap Wheeler, of Clemson, dean of the Arts and Sciences Division, received a pin for 30 years of service to the State.
Honored for 25 years of service to the College were Sue Dacus, of Anderson, office manager for Student Records; Robin Pepper, of Walhalla, mathematics instructor in the Arts and Sciences Division; Lisa Poore, of Anderson, administrative assistant in the vice president for academic affairs office; and Phyllis Shealy, of Anderson, administrative specialist for orientation and advising.
Receiving 20-year pins for service to the State and College were Anne Bryan, administrative assistant to the vice president for academic affairs; Karen Culp-Linscott, of Walhalla, science instructor in the Arts and Sciences Division; and Dr. Brian Swords, of Liberty, director of the Easley Campus.
Receiving 15-year pins for service to the College were Jackie Blakley, of Anderson, dean of the Business and Public Services Division, James Canty, of Seneca, campus safety officer; Beth Cheek, of Pendleton, administrative assistant in the Bookstore; Phil Gilmour, of Central, science instructor for the Arts and Sciences Division; Tom Hiebel, of Anderson, humanities instructor for the Arts and Sciences Division; Greg Toney, of Anderson, speech instructor for the Arts and Sciences Division; Dr. Della VanHuss, of Anderson, head of the humanities department in the Arts and Sciences Division.
Recognized for 10 years of service to College was Dr. Ronnie L. Booth, of Clemson, president of Tri-County Technical College.
Recognized for 10 years of service to College and State were Beth Byars, of Anderson, administrative assistant for the Institutional Advancement Division; Jan Clark, administrative assistant in the Bookstore; Stan Compton, of Piedmont, industrial supervision instructor in the Engineering and Industrial Technology Division; Denise Day of Pickens, graphic designer; Peggy Dermer, of Anderson, associate degree nursing instructor; Lou Ann Martin, of Belton, Title III activity director; June Osborne, of Anderson, truck driving instructor for the Corporate and Community Education Division; Roberta Sitton, of Walhalla, administrative specialist for the Business Affairs Division; Trini Tumlin, of Easley, Spanish instructor for the Arts and Sciences Division; Dr. Ross Wagenseil, of Clemson, general engineering technology instructor in the Engineering and Industrial Technology Division; Cyndy Watts, of Salem, administrative specialist for admissions; Carolyn White, of Liberty, administrative specialist for admissions; and Blythe Winburn, of Anderson, associate degree Nursing instructor.
Julie Beard, of Anderson, instructor in the Practical Nursing program, Nathan Geary, of Clemson, systems administrator for the information technology department; and Mary Geren, of Belton, English instructor in the Arts and Sciences Division, all received pins for 10 years of service to the State.
