Trident Technical College employee wins award for service to college’s governing board

CHARLESTON, SC – November 3, 2010 – Natalie Gamble, administrative coordinator in the President’s Office at Trident Technical College, has received the 2010 Southern Region Professional Board Staff Member Award from the Association of Community College Trustees. The ACCT Southern Region comprises the states and territories of Alabama, Arkansas, Bermuda, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, the Virgin Islands, Virginia and West Virginia.

The Association of Community College Trustees is a nonprofit educational organization of governing boards, representing more than 6,500 elected and appointed trustees who govern over 1,200 community, technical and junior colleges in the United States. The Professional Board Staff Member Award is presented to a board staff member in recognition of exemplary service to a board. TTC’s Area Commission nominated Gamble for the award.

“Recognized as a person who gets things done, Natalie rarely says, ‘I can’t,’” said TTC Area Commission Chair Jack Harrison. “Her dedication to Trident Technical College’s Area Commission, employees and students is sincere and heartfelt. She believes in the mission of the college and continuously contributes to its success.”

Gamble, a Cottageville resident, is a TTC graduate and an 18-year employee of the college. She has worked in the President’s Office since 1996.
