Two new employees join the S.C. Aeronautics Commission
September 18, 2023Two new employees have joined the South Carolina Aeronautics Commission. Christopher S. Eversmann, P.E., A.A.E., will be the Airport Development Program Manager and Ronnie L. Gannt will be a pilot with the Commission. Gantt starts his new position this month and Eversmann will join the Commission in October.
Gannt has worked in the aviation industry since 1979, most recently as a Boeing 737 retired Captain with Southwest Airlines. He holds a degree in Electronics Engineering and has Airline Transport Pilot, Airframe and Power Plant certificates. Prior to Southwest, he flew as a corporate pilot for several South Carolina businesses.
Eversmann has been the Director of the Jim Hamilton – L.B. Owens Airport for the past thirteen years. Prior to being Airport Director, he worked at Wilbur Smith Associates and for Richland and Beaufort Counites as Director of Public Works. He has a master’s degree in public administration and a civil engineering degree. Eversmann has served on the South Carolina Aviation Association’s board since 2009.
“I am excited to have these gentlemen join our team at the South Carolina Aeronautics Commission. They both bring many years of experience and expertise to the Commission,” said Gary Siegfried.
