Two shareholders at Bauknight Pietras & Stormer named 100 Most Influential People in Accounting

Bauknight Pietras & Stormer, P.A. is proud to announce that two of its shareholders, Thomas Pietras and Christian Stormer have been named as two of the 100 Influential People in Accounting by the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (“SCACPA”).  Tom and Chris, among many others, were honored at SCACPA’s 100^th anniversary gala, held recently in Columbia.

Selection was determined by an individual’s commitment and impact on the CPA profession, their dedication of service, and for upholding the highest standards of the profession, according to the state’s professional trade association for certified public accountants.

The list included a “who’s who” of accountants in South Carolina over the past 100 years, including Mr. A.C. Clarkson – holder of South Carolina CPA certificate number 1; former Clarkson, Harden and Gantt partners, A.C. Clarkson, Jr., Robert Harden, Fred Gantt, Bob Cooper, and Bill Grooms; former Ernst & Young partners Tony Callander and Carl Harper; and educators such as Clemson’s Mary Ann Prater and Carolina’s Caroline Stobel.

“Tom and I are very honored to be be included on this list of influential people in accounting,” said Chris Stormer.  “There are many former Ernst & Young (and its predecessor firms) repesentatives on the list.  We “grew up” in the business working for these guys and are humbled to be included on such a list with them.”
