UniComm Media Group Principal Ramón Nieves-Lugo included in the inaugural class of Forty Under 40 winners

Ramón Nieves-Lugo, Principal of UniComm Media Group (UMG), was recognized today during a virtual awards ceremony as being one of Forty Under 40 award winners for his business and personal contributions to the Upstate of South Carolina. Forty professionals under the age 40 were recognized today as making their mark on the Upstate from a mix of industry, professional and community sectors.
Nominations were submitted by individuals, businesses, organizations and colleagues, and judges independently scored the nominations to select the top 40 professionals from the pool of candidates. The inaugural Forty Under 40 Class of 2020 will be featured in a special section of GSA Business Report in September.
As Principal of UMG, Nieves-Lugo provides the branding, strategic and marketing expertise to harness the power of a multicultural approach for his clients. Operating the first full-service Hispanic marketing, advertising and event management firm in South Carolina, UMG is a recognized authority on multicultural marketing and brand communication.
Nieves-Lugo is extremely involved in the Greenville community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Greenville Chamber of Commerce, chairs LatinosUnited and serves on the Advisory Council for USC Upstate Johnson College of Business and Economics. He also is on the Advisory Committee for CPM Federal Credit Union, a class member of the Riley Institute at Furman’s Diversity Leaders Initiative (DLI) and on the Greenville Triumph Soccer Club Advisory Committee. Nieves-Lugo also serves on the Board of Directors for Fall for Greenville.
