United Community celebrates World Animal Day through acts of service

October 3, 2025

United Community is celebrating World Animal Day on October 4 by taking meaningful action to support animal welfare across the Southeast. Teams throughout the region will unite in service projects that reflect the bank’s commitment to caring for the communities it serves, including the animals that call them home.

“Here at United, we are always looking for ways to uplift our communities,” said Holly Boynton, community development senior manager at United Community. “World Animal Day provides an important opportunity for our teams to take purposeful action, partner with local organizations and ensure that animals in our communities receive the attention and resources they need. Animals hold a special place in the hearts of many of our employees, and through these efforts, we are proud to help strengthen the bonds between people and the animals who enrich our lives.”

For the fourth year running, United is empowering employees to give back through acts of service in their communities or by participating in projects organized by the Together for Good Council, a dedicated team of employee volunteers committed to advancing community initiatives. This year, the United Community Bank Foundation has pledged $30,000 in support of local organizations championing animal welfare, including humane societies, rescues and sanctuaries working tirelessly to protect and care for animals in need.
