United Way of Pickens County recognizes educators at Pickens County school board meeting

United Way of Pickens County recognized a group of outstanding educators during the February 23 meeting of the School District of Pickens County Board of Trustees.
The educators were honored as members of The Inaugural Circle of Excellence Cohort, a recognition that celebrates leadership and commitment shown through the School District of Pickens County United Way workplace campaign.
The recognition took place during the public board meeting held at the Curtis A. Sidden Administrative Building in Easley. School leadership, district representatives, and community members were present to help celebrate the honorees.
The Inaugural Circle of Excellence Cohort Honorees are:
- Caitlin Cummings — Dacusville Elementary School
- Tamra Misseijer — Dacusville Middle School
- Erin Driggers — Edwards Middle School
- Hannah Davis — Liberty Primary School
- Tara McMullen — Pickens County Career & Technology Center
- Dr. Jessica Abercrombie — Pickens Elementary School
- Kela Simpson — West End Elementary School
- Mallory Wade — Easley High School
The Circle of Excellence recognizes educators who have demonstrated meaningful leadership, advocacy, and engagement in support of United Way’s work to strengthen individuals, families, and communities across Pickens County. Through their involvement in the workplace campaign, these educators helped raise awareness and support for programs that benefit local students and families.

The Circle of Excellence allows us to pause and recognize that leadership in a meaningful way.”
