Urgent Need for O+, O-, B-, and A- Blood Types: Donation Event Set for March 1 in Clinton
February 27, 2026Community members are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and help save lives during an upcoming blood drive at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Clinton. The event will take place on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the church, located at 1387 Highway 56 South.
Hosted in partnership with The Blood Connection, the drive comes at a time of critical need for certain blood types. Blood donations are always essential, but supplies of O+, O-, B-, and A- blood are especially needed right now. A single donation can help multiple patients undergoing surgery, trauma care, cancer treatment, and other lifesaving procedures.
Donors with these high-demand blood types are now eligible for significantly increased rewards. Those with O+, O-, and B- blood types will receive $110 in donor rewards, while donors with A- blood type will receive $60. These enhanced incentives reflect the urgent need and provide additional encouragement for eligible donors to participate.
All donors will also receive TBC Reward Points through The Blood Connection’s donor portal, redeemable for e-gift cards as a token of appreciation.
The drive also benefits the host organization directly. The Blood Connection will donate $10 per donor back to Westminster Presbyterian Church, helping support its ongoing ministries and community outreach efforts.
Appointments are encouraged to ensure a smooth experience, though walk-ins may be accepted as space allows.
Community members can register for a time slot online at:

Donors should bring a valid photo ID and be in generally good health on the day of the drive.
By donating blood, residents can make a powerful difference close to home—helping neighbors, strengthening the community, and potentially saving lives.
