We talked with the General Manager, Mike Evans, of Pearlz about what they will be serving at Viva la Vista.
Annual Viva La Vista brings Tasty Food to the Vista, Legendary reggae artists The Wailers to headline event
COLUMBIA, SC – September 7, 2013 – Columbia’s Congaree Vista Guild is hosting its annual Viva La Vista, Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013. The sixth annual Viva La Vista will provide a lively environment for visitors to expand their palates by sampling Southern and international cuisine, wine and craft beer. The Vista Guild is also pleased to announce that The Wailers, the internationally recognized reggae band, will headline this year’s Viva La Vista.
When: Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013. Food, beer, wine and music sales from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In 2013:
Music has always been a part of Viva La Vista, and in 2013 the event will feature several local and regional bands and The Wailers will headline.
Family-friendly bands, including Lunch Money will begin playing at 11 a.m. Each restaurant will offer family-friendly menu items and face painters and balloon artists will be available.
Craft beer, including brews by Columbia’s Conquest Brewery, will be available for $5. All other beer is available for $4.
The Wine Garden is back by popular demand. Select red and white wines will be available for sampling and purchase with a ticket to the wine garden.
VIP offerings: For those who want to stay cool, Viva La Vista will also offer a special VIP pass to the Vista Room at the Blue Marlin sponsored by Ben Arnold Beverage Company. VIP ticketholders will also be invited to a special meet-and-greet with The Wailers. Cocktails and tailgating food by the Blue Marlin will be available and the day’s football games will be shown on the big screen. VIP ticketholders will be allowed to come and go throughout the day to take advantage of all that Viva La Vista has to offer. VIP tickets are limited and available for $65 in advance.

11 – 11:40 a.m.: Lunch Money
12 – 12:40 p.m.: 76 and Sunny
1 – 1:40 p.m.: Capital City Playboys
2 – 3 p.m.: Reggie Sullivan Band
Stage 2
11 – 11:40 a.m.: Ten Toes Up
12 – 1 p.m.: The Executives (feat. Jordan Miller)
1:30 – 2:30 p.m.: Lefty at the Washout
3:00 – 4:30 p.m.: The Wailers
Additionally, entrance to Viva La Vista will be $10 in advance and $12 at the gates. Restaurants and beverage vendors will accept cash for food and beverage sales. Children 12 and under are admitted to Viva La Vista for free.
WHERE: The Congaree Vista, in and around the Gervais Street corridor at Lincoln Street.
PARKING: All street parking is free. Free parking is available in the city-owned garages located on Lincoln St. between Lady and Washington, and on Park Street next to the Hilton Columbia Center. Guests can also find free parking in the Wayne St. lot between Lady and Washington Streets.
