Volunteers Tackle Downtown Beautification During Clinton’s Second Saturday Workday
July 14, 2025Volunteers rolled up their sleeves once again this past Saturday for Clinton’s monthly Second Saturday workday, continuing efforts to enhance the beauty of downtown. From 9 to 11 a.m., community members painted poles, pulled weeds, and planted fresh flowers in decorative pots, helping to create a more inviting and vibrant atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.
The ongoing beautification effort is part of a larger initiative led by Main Street Clinton to support local businesses and encourage community pride through hands-on projects.
“These small improvements really add up over time and make a noticeable difference,” said Main Street Clinton Director Jim Spry. “We’re grateful for everyone who shows up each month to help us make downtown Clinton a more attractive and welcoming place. It’s encouraging to see people take such pride in their community.”
Second Saturday workdays are held monthly from 9 to 11 a.m., and everyone is welcome to participate. Whether you’re a longtime resident or new to the area, all helping hands are appreciated.
