What: Columbia, SC has been chosen as one of the 2024 “Top 10 Culinary Towns in the South” by The Local Palate magazine. To determine the top 10 – Alpharetta, GA; Auburn, AL; Charlottesville, VA; Chattanooga, TN; Columbia, SC; Lafayette, LA; Lexington, KY; Oxford, MS; St. Augustine, FL; and Wilmington, NC – editors researched restaurants, bars, cafes, farmers markets, educational classes, artisan culture and more across more than 40 small towns across the South. Voting through the Reader’s Poll is open now through June 16th. From there, the selection will be narrowed down to the top three and a winner will be determined through a social media poll open from June 17 – 21. The winner will be revealed on the cover of the Best Culinary Towns of the South issue this fall.
