Voterheads Weekly Update – June 16
June 16, 2014
- The City of Columbia drops over $100K for an automatic license plate reader interface to an out of state vendor (the only one available), and approves a $600K purchase for Video Security from a local Columbia vendor, while they dabble in other items such as adding 14 PROHIBITED acts in parks for minors play zones, and authorize an agreement for a certain Multi-Use venue between Hardball Capital, LLC and Bull Street Development, LLC.
- Greenville County resolves the ‘In God We Trust Plaque’ and conveys 12 acres of county-owned property (Holiday Lake and Holiday Lake Dam) to execute deeds and agreements, and also gets serious about Flood Control – Mandated by the Department of Homeland Security.
- Richland County doesn’t like their logo being used all over the place by everyone and their mother, and on a couple of occasions, talks sewage.
- Spartanburg County is dealing with a Noise Ordinance, which Greer Dragway wants none of it.
