Charleston-based Lincs Software has named W. Bratton Riley its Chief Executive Officer, a position he will assume immediately.

“Bratton’s extensive experience in business development in multiple sectors, combined with his management and legal acumen will propel Lincs, as we create tailored software products and solutions for our customers,” says Thomas Wilson, Chief Technical Advisor to the company.  “Bratton will devise and implement Lincs’ vision and strategy as the company provides cutting edge technology solutions at scale,” Wilson says.

“I am honored to work with Tom Wilson, COO Bryan Chappell, and our talented, enthusiastic development team, as we increase our clients’ operational efficacy and efficiency,”  Riley says.  “At Lincs, we are providing technology applications for any web-based or mobile app-based solutions. The combination of our powerful platform and our team’s unparalleled dedication to clients’ success is really exciting for both the company and our community.”

For nearly 12 years, Riley worked in business development for Maybank Industries, a Charleston, SC based company specializing in maritime transportation, logistics, and port operations.  While at Maybank, Riley sold shipping and port operating services around the world—particularly in Central and Latin America—while helping the company grow its port operations in South Carolina.  He also worked with local, state and federal governments on service provision and regulation.

A native Charlestonian with strong community ties, Riley is encouraged by the growth of the technology sector here. “We have a unique opportunity to put Charleston on the US technology map, and I look forward to leading Lincs as part of that movement.”

A Liberty Fellow of South Carolina and an active community leader, Riley is participating in the grassroots Movement for Effective Schools and serves on the following boards: Charleston Symphony Orchestra, Maritime Association of South Carolina (Secretary), Parklands Foundation, Salute From the Shore, and Dysautonomia Advocacy Foundation (Treasurer).  He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and holds a JD and MBA from the University of South Carolina.
