Waldrop takes top honors in Specialty Contracting/Mechanical & Plumbing competition with Eagle Award  for Challenging HVAC and Plumbing Project at Clemson University

Spartanburg-based Waldrop Mechanical Services, a full-service mechanical contracting firm in business since 1970, was recently recognized for its HVAC and Plumbing work on Clemson University’s Memorial Stadium Suite Renovation in the 2015 Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards sponsored by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of the Carolinas. Waldrop received the Eagle Award – ABC’s highest-level award – in the Specialty Contracting/Mechanical & Plumbing category.

ABC’s Excellence in Construction Awards Program was open to general contractors and specialty contractors in the Carolinas two-state region. Having won at the Carolinas chapter level, Waldrop’s project became eligible to compete in ABC’s National Awards competition for which winners will be announced in February 2016.

“Winning the ‘Best of Class’ Eagle award speaks to our team’s ability to deliver quality projects with very aggressive, demanding schedule expectations.” said Bill Caldwell, Waldrop’s president and chief executive officer. “We are very proud to be recognized by our industry peers for our efforts on such a challenging project.”
