Who’s On The Move
Today is the day! After months of preparation, we’re excited to officially announce the launch of a new website in our family of publications—the Georgetown SC Gazette. If you’re from the Columbia area, you may recognize the Gazette’s publisher, Karen Owens, a long-time Midlands resident who most recently worked in state government. Karen recently moved to Georgetown, and that move sparked conversations about bringing our website and eNewsletter format to Georgetown County. The result is a new way for the community to share its stories, celebrate its people, and stay up to date on the issues that matter most.
The first eNewsletter was published today.
We’re proud to support this new endeavor and to work alongside Karen in highlighting the good news coming out of Georgetown County. We’ve known and worked with Karen for more than 20 years and have seen firsthand her professionalism, integrity, and deep commitment to meaningful, community-focused communication. We wish her every success in this new role and are thrilled to help bring this vision to life.
We encourage anyone from our Midlands readership who does business in Georgetown (or wants to do business there), or who visits the area, to sign up for the free bi-weekly eNewsletter at GeorgetownSCGazette. You can also follow the Gazette on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
This marks the company’s second community focused website collaboration. In 2020, Laurens County resident and entrepreneur Brenda Stewart launched Laurens County Buzz on our platform through a publishing partnership. We’re excited to continue expanding local news coverage across the state.
We also own UpstateBizSC and LowcountryBizSC.
