Weekend Warrior – Dressing Down, But Not Out For The Weekend

Living in the world of constant communication means we never seem to get away from work, even on the weekends. We see clients and talk about business at the grocery store; little league games and even backyard barbeques. So how do you look professional yet relaxed and casual at the same time?
Here are a few tips to keep you looking cool and casual, but still ready for business, wherever it pops up.
1. Pairing a casual work top with a fun printed pair of shorts is an easy way to make items in your closet pull double duty while keeping your image cohesive when you are out of the office.
2. Fun, casual accessories lighten up the outfit and make it appropriate for the weekend. Nothing says relaxed or summer more than a canvas tote or watchband.
3. Sunglasses are a must in the summer. Whether you invest in one pair or have a pair for every outfit, they are a great way to have fun and let your personality show through.
4. Sandals are another staple in the summer, and so are pedicures. If you expose your feet, they should be as pretty as possible.
5. You can also try pairing your casual lace-ups with your shorts. It is an easy way to stay relevant and up-to-date on current trends. Side note, if you try this trend you will need to also pick up a pair of no-show socks.
6. Weekend jewelry should also be carefree and casual. Tie on a leather or beaded bracelet to add some texture and dimension to your outfit.
While it might not be the same as denim cutoffs, tank tops and flip-flops, these outfits let you relax comfortably while still looking and feeling appropriate if you run into your boss or client while out and about over the weekend.
