White Knoll Middle School named a 2026 South Carolina School to Watch®
January 20, 2026White Knoll Middle School in Lexington County School District One has been named a 2026 South Carolina School to Watch®, a prestigious designation awarded by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform. The recognition highlights White Knoll Middle’s commitment to academic excellence, student-centered learning and high-quality opportunities for all students. White Knoll Middle is one of five schools statewide newly selected for the 2026 Schools to Watch® cohort.
“Being named a School to Watch is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of White Knoll Middle’s students, staff, families and community,” said Dr. Keith Price, superintendent. “This recognition affirms White Knoll Middle’s focus on creating a supportive, engaging learning environment where every student is challenged, supported and ready to learn, grow and excel.”
Schools designated as Schools to Watch® must meet 37 rigorous criteria established by the National Forum, including:

Schools to Watch® are recognized for a three-year period and serve as demonstration sites for educators seeking best practices in education for the middle grades. White Knoll Middle School will be formally recognized at the South Carolina Middle School Conference in Myrtle Beach and again at the National Schools to Watch Conference.
