Who Doesn’t Want More Passion In Their Life?
March 30, 2017By Brian Maynor
Finding something you’re passionate about makes your life just open up and everything is possible, which is great, especially if you can earn a living from that passion.
That’s the ultimate win/win, but if that isn’t the case, it doesn’t mean you should just give up on your passion in order to make a living. This isn’t an either/or situation. It is possible to have both money and passion in your life. In fact, we need both to make life exciting, because let’s face work may have its moments of excitement, but most of the time it’s tedious and dull.
When you find something that nourishes your soul and brings joy and excitement into your life, you have to make room for it. I don’t understand people who don’t prioritize or care about themselves enough that they turn their back on something that matters to them simply because it doesn’t generate money. Passion is the spark that pushes us into action in life, and without it you end up just drifting or coasting from birth to death. To me, that sounds absolutely awful, but it’s not a permanent state of being.
If you need to bring some passion back into your life, it’s not too late. Start now with just one small thing that matters to you, and keep doing it every day.
Here are a few of my favorite motivational musings to help:
Life is a result of your choices. So if you don’t like it, i.e. it’s completely devoid of passion and excitement, make new choices.
Life is for living, not enduring. We always have the freedom to do what makes us happy.
Time is the only thing you can never get back. Be mindful how you spend yours.
Change happens through action. So stop talking or thinking about what would make you happy and do it!
Finding your passion isn’t hard; it’s a part of all of us. If there’s something you can’t go a day without thinking about that’s a pretty good clue to your passion.
No one else is responsible for your happiness or your unhappiness.
While you may not be able to donate your entire life to your passion, having it in your life in any way possible is better than not having it at all. So you might have to cut back on the TV and social media. Wouldn’t you rather live your life passionately than watch other people living there’s?
