May 25, 2016

Helen Geer, president of William Means Real Estate, just returned from Dublin, Ireland, where she joined an elite group of luxury real estate specialists at the annual Christie’s International Real Estate Owners Conference. The invitation-only event hosted by the world’s leading luxury real estate network took place at the Shelbourne Hotel from May 3-6 with participants from 27 different countries.

The host affiliate of this year’s conference was Christie’s International Real Estate’s exclusive affiliate in Ireland, Sherry FitzGerald, one of the country’s most recognized property firms. As part of the conference, Sherry FitzGerald representatives offered delegates property tours of some of Dublin’s current top luxury residential offerings.

The conference program was anchored by interactive panel discussions tapping into the expertise of the affiliate network with topics ranging from user experiences in digital marketing and global trends in luxury real estate to pushing boundaries in video.

“We take great pride in our organization’s reputation for excellence and the high caliber of brokerages invited to join the Christie’s International Real Estate network,” said CEO Dan Conn. “The collaboration and exchange of ideas at our annual conference is invaluable to further elevate the already top level of client care and marketing success our affiliates have achieved.”

The conference also featured presentations by leading architect David Adjaye; Trevor Fellows, executive vice president for The Wall Street Journal; economist Marian Finnegan; and executives from Christie’s auction house, all of whom offered valuable insights into the luxury realm.

Geer also took part in breakout sessions with panel discussions focusing on global market trends, best marketing practices, and the importance of referrals in driving leads.

“By far, this was the best conference I’ve attended,” Geer said. “Not only was it in a beautiful setting, but the speakers and educational opportunities were second to none. I learned so much and came home with new ideas for how William Means Real Estate can better serve our Charleston clients.”

The conference culminated with the affiliate awards dinner at the historic Trinity College, following a cocktails reception in the Long Room, Old Library which is home to the Book of Kells.
