Wine on The River

– The Lexington Medical Center Foundation’s Women of Hope will host the annual “Wine on the River” at Stone River and the West Columbia Riverwalk on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. “Wine on the River” is a fun event that will feature wine tasting, food sampling and musical entertainment combined with the beautiful surroundings on the banks of the Congaree River. This year will benefit the Mother and Children Fund at Lexington Medical Center, which provides a variety of support to women and children including; clothing and basic supplies for newborns whose parents are in financial need, infant CPR kits for families of special care infants, and education materials for new mothers.
Guests can sample delicious food from local restaurants such as Travinia’s, Salsarita’s, and Bogart’s. Guest will also be entertained with music throughout the evening.
Women of Hope is a women’s giving circle that is part of the Lexington Medical Center Foundation. Established in 2011, the goal of Women of Hope is to identify health issues in the Midlands and work to bring about positive change. People attending “Wine on the River” can also learn how to join Women of Hope.
