Womble Carlyle’s Shunta Grant Named to Lawyers Of Color’s 2014 Hot List

GREENVILLE, S.C.— Womble Carlyle attorney Shunta Grant has been named to Lawyers Of Color’s 2014 Hot List, which salutes minority attorneys excelling in the legal profession.

The 2014 Hot List honorees, who all work as in-house counsel, government attorneys, or law firm associates and partners, were chosen through a two-pronged process. The selection committee, comprised of the editorial staff, fellows and advisers, spent months reviewing nominations and researching legal publications in order to identify promising candidates. Committee members accepted nominations from mentors, peers, and colleagues. They also made editorial picks based on our research of attorneys who had noteworthy accomplishments, giving special attention to candidates who were active in diversity pipeline initiatives. There is no fee or sponsorship requirement to be nominated or included in the 2014 Hot List.

Honorees were honored at a series of receptions around the country, including July 24th in Atlanta.

Shunta Grant is a business litigation attorney who represents businesses in general tort claims. She has experience assisting clients in preparing for trial, including motion drafting and discovery. Her clients include banks and financial institutions. Grant also counsels clients on labor and employment matters, including drafting severance and release agreements. She has represented clients in labor and employment litigation as well. Grant practices in Womble Carlyle’s Greenville office.
