World Affairs Councils across the U.S. convene to address global pandemic

For the first time, World Affairs Councils across the country will gather virtually for a special, inclusive, Ideas Summit, under a new brand: CxC: Amplified, from May 4-8 and open to the public, online here. The World Affairs Councils network includes more than 90 Councils, in more than 40 states across the country, including the Upstate’s WACU. Featuring General David Petraeus (USA, Ret.), General John Allen( USMC, Ret.), Ambassador( ret.) Nicholas Burns, and many more, CxC:Amplified is a full week of events designed to amplify voices on foreign and national policy, Council by Council, and coast to coast. Open to the public, this Ideas Summit brings together leaders, experts, and citizens across the nation to tackle the central question: How will the world be put back together as we chart our way through the new circumstances caused by this coronavirus pandemic? CxC: Amplified will include webinars, discussion groups, happy hours, trivia, dancing lessons, and more to expand knowledge, enrich personal wellness, and foster global engagement during the time of social distancing.
