BCDCOG welcomes Sharon Hollis as Principal Planner

The Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments announced that Sharon Hollis has joined its staff as a Principal Planner.

Hollis comes to the BCDCOG from the private sector, where she worked on transit planning projects for clients nationwide. Most recently she liaised with BCDCOG on the i26Alt BRT project.

Hollis brings valuable experience in evaluating small and large transit systems’ operations throughout the U.S. She has provided project management for architectural and engineering design services for transit facilities, including a $14.5 million passenger intermodal center in North Charleston that features Amtrak, intercity bus service and local transit. Sharon has also managed alternatives analyses, corridor studies, and subarea plans.

Hollis attended Georgia State University where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Real Estate. She then went on to attain her Master of City and Regional Planning degree from Georgia Institute of Technology.
