Arthur Murray Dance Studio to Debut in South Carolina Mid-2017
NAI Avant announced that senior broker Thomas Boulware, CCIM, has brought the Midway Plaza at 1300 Savannah Highway to 100% occupancy with a ±3,500 square foot lease by Seventh Event, Inc. Boulware represented the landlord, while Dave Mantek of Avison Young represented the tenant in the transaction.
Seventh Event, Inc. has committed to two suites in the retail plaza, which will be repurposed into an Arthur Murray Franchised Dance Studio. This new studio at Midway Plaza will be the only Arthur Murray studio in South Carolina, opening during the spring of 2017. Franchising since 1939, Arthur Murray Franchised Dance Studios is one of the oldest franchises in the world, with approximately 260 locations worldwide.
The ±16,200 square foot specialty center at 1300 Savanah Highway is home to a diverse tenant mix, with retailers including The Green Goat, The Waxxpot, Eat-A-Pita, Jordan and Jane, Jimmy Johns and Pure Barre, among others. Neighboring retailers include Whole Foods, Swig & Swine and Starbucks. Situated directly off of Savannah Highway (Highway 17) in West Ashley, the property is less than five miles to both Downtown Charleston and James Island.
