Thompson Funeral Home presented a check for $5,000 to Homeless No More President and CEO, Lila Anna Sauls to support the programs of St. Lawrence Place and help families in the Midlands who are impacted by homelessness. St. Lawrence Place is operated by Homeless No More.

“After hearing about the awesome work that St. Lawrence Place is doing in the community, we at Thompson Funeral Home saw this as a great opportunity to partner with another organization that provides for families in their time of need,” said Thompson Funeral Home Director, Rob Akers. “We believe the loss of a loved one and the loss of a home are among the most devastating events in life. We hope through fundraisers like this, we can help raise awareness about the homeless epidemic throughout Midlands, ”Akers said.

“Our work with homeless families and their children wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of community partners like Thompson Funeral Home” said Lila Anna Sauls, Homeless No More President and CEO.

“After touring St. Lawrence Place and Family Shelter, the Thompson Funeral Home team saw our need and supported our programs in an incredible way,” said Sauls.

Homeless No More is a private nonprofit that knows family homelessness is a temporary problem, not a chronic condition.
