Temporary construction cottage to close at Richland Library Southeast
April 26, 2018As construction progresses to the exterior property of Richland Library Southeast, Benchmark Contracting has advised us to close the temporary construction cottage for the remainder of the project. Therefore, for the safety of staff and customers, all services at the temporary construction cottage are concluding at 6 p.m., Saturday, May 12.
While the temporary construction cottage is closed, limited holds pick-up is available at Trinity Presbyterian Church (1000 Greenlawn Drive), starting Monday, May 14:
10:30 a.m. – 7 p.m., Mondays – Thursdays
9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays
Then on Monday, June 11, Richland Library also plans to reopen our summer location at Lower Richland High School (2615 Lower Richland Boulevard). Our staff are providing access to fresh picks of books, music and movies, computers, holds pick-up, storytimes and social workers.
In addition, customers can select an alternate pick-up location at any of our other library facilities by visiting richlandlibrary.com.
Richland Library Southeast is expected to reopen by the end of 2018. Customers can anticipate increased access to technology, a tinker space, gaming lab and an expanded children’s area. There are also plans to include more comfortable seating and enhancements to the building’s exterior.
The nearly $5 million project was made possible by Richland County residents with the passage of a $59 million bond referendum back in November 2013.
