NASSP names Page national finalist

The National Association of Secondary School Principals selected Erica H. Page, Pelion High School assistant principal, as one of three finalists for National Assistant Principal of the Year.
Page is eligible for the national honor as a recipient of the 2018 High School Assistant Principal of the Year award from the South Carolina Association of School Administrators in November. Her commitment to cultivating positive relationships and making personal connections with teachers and students makes her stand out as an exceptional leader.
Page stated in her application that her “goal is to personalize the high school experience for all students, from at-risk to AP, by providing equitable learning opportunities that lead each graduate to college acceptance and career readiness.” She also works to bridge the gap between high school and college or career through dual-enrollment courses.
Page began her career teaching Strategies for Success at White Knoll High in 2007. In 2009, after working to develop the Leadership for the 21st Century course, she began teaching Leadership 21.
Lexington District One promoted Page to the position of assistant administrator at Pelion High in 2012, followed by a promotion to assistant principal in 2014. At PHS, Page has served as the administrator over instruction, overseen professional development, and served as supervisor of the Center for Advanced Agribusiness and as 504 and Homebound administrator.
Page holds a Bachelor of Arts from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, and a Master of Education in educational administration from the University of South Carolina.
The NASSP will announce National Assistant Principal of the Year during National Assistant Principal Week, held April 9–13.
