Lexington One Board approves Pelion transportation supervisor

During the Tuesday, September 19, 2017 regular monthly meeting of the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees, the board approved the hiring of John E. Dorroh as transportation supervisor of the Pelion attendance area.
A Lexington High graduate, Dorroh comes to Lexington District One from the South Carolina Department of Transportation, where he worked at the State Traffic Management Center.
Dorroh also worked several years in law enforcement, first as a correctional officer from 2000 to 2001 with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. In 2003, he became a patrol officer with the South Carolina Highway Patrol before moving to the South Carolina State Transport Police in 2005, achieving the rank of corporal in 2012.
Dorroh departed the South Carolina State Transport Police in 2015 and worked as a fleet manager for N.W. White & Co and part-time in traffic management for South Carolina Department of Transportation.
Dorroh will replace Shay Rollins, who retires from the district Office of Transportation on October 20.
