Partner C. Edward Rawl, Jr. and associate Michael Greene are listed in Rising Stars, which honors attorneys who are 40 years old or younger and in practice for 10 years or less.

South Carolina Super Lawyers has long been recognized as a comprehensive list of the top lawyers in the state that can be used as a resource for clients seeking legal counsel.

Stephen Mitchell, who is managing partner of the Columbia office, has handled administrative charges and lawsuits in state and federal courts involving all state and federal labor and employment laws. Mitchell also represents employers throughout the United States in the traditional labor arena by helping them successfully respond to union organizing efforts, as well as assisting with collective bargaining.

Cheryl Behymer is co-chair of the firm’s Affirmative Action and Federal Contract Compliance Practice Group. She assists clients by providing timely and practical counsel and training in affirmative action, workplace harassment, immigration compliance, employee leave issues involving the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other labor and employment issues.

Mike Carrouth has represented clients in responding to union organizing efforts in 29 states. This work includes successfully defending against multi-site and multi-state national organizing blitzes, card-check/neutrality campaigns, and campaigns under the new NLRB expedited election rules. Mike has also successfully litigated a number of claims of behalf of employers, including non-compete matters and employment discrimination lawsuits.

Dan Ellzey practices both labor and employment law. In the employment area, Ellzey counsels clients on all state and federal employment laws, major staff reductions and facility closures, labor law implications of mergers and acquisitions, OSHA compliance, and wage and hour matters.

Jon Pearson’s practice emphasizes employment litigation of all types before state and federal courts, as well as traditional labor law. He has handled lawsuits and administrative charges involving wrongful discharge, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA and FLSA, as well as many other types of employment-based claims.

In addition to counseling and single-plaintiff litigation, Tighe has extensive experience handling class and collective action litigation throughout the United States.

Michael Greene is a member of the firm’s Affirmative Action and Federal Contract Compliance practice group and guides federal contractors through OFCCP audits. Greene actively works with clients to develop affirmative action plans, as well as assess their workforces. He also handles labor and employment discrimination and related litigation.
