Lexington One teachers receive Palmetto Teacher of Excellence awards
October 29, 2014LEXINGTON, SC — The South Carolina Council for the Social Studies presented Palmetto Teacher of Excellence Awards to three Lexington One teachers.
Lexington High’s Jennifer Garrick, Meadow Glen Middle’s Albert Robertson and Midway Elementary’s Alva Suggs each received the award for using instructional materials creatively and effectively, promoting higher standards in social studies and working to promote professional relationships among teachers of social studies.
Every year, the South Carolina Council for the Social Studies honors the outstanding performance of teachers and programs that work to promote quality social studies in the palmetto state.
Each award winner received a nomination to the National Council for Social Studies awards.
