February 25, 2019

United Community Bank have recently partnered with the Blue Star Mothers of America’s Greenville-Upstate chapter to send care packages to troops serving overseas. The packages were assembled by the bank’s SBA lending team and given to the Blue Star Mothers to be sent to active duty personnel from the Upstate.

“United Community Bank is a service-first organization, and it is our honor to support our active duty military personnel,” said Annemarie Murphy, President of SBA Lending at United Community Bank. “Deployments are hard and while we can never fully thank our military for all they do, we can send a comforting package to remind them that they are appreciated. It’s simply the right thing to do.”

More than 10 care packages were prepared by United Community Bank’s small business lending team. Items inside included socks, t-shirts, snacks, books, phone cards, toiletries and more. The packages will be shipped by the Blue Star Mothers of America on behalf of United Community Bank.
