Caldwell to present at economic development forum

Didi Caldwell, founding principal of Global Location Strategies, will be a featured panelist on Tuesday, March 6 at the 2018 Winter Forum of the Utility Economic Development Association (UEDA). Widely considered a leading authority in site selection and economic development for energy-intensive projects, Caldwell, along with her fellow panelists, will discuss business location trends for 2018 and how they are expected to impact utilities.

Hosted by Duke Energy and SCANA, the 2018 UEDA Winter Forum is an educational and networking event providing insight into critical issues affecting utilities, site selection and economic development. The conference will be held March 5-7 at the Westin Poinsett Hotel in Greenville, S.C. Approximately 100 people from across the U.S. are registered to attend.

With more than 19 years’ experience, Caldwell has led site selection consulting projects throughout North and South America, Canada, Europe and Asia. Her firm, which spun off of Fluor Corporation in 2009, specializes in energy, automotive, aerospace, pulp and paper, chemicals, mining, textiles, logistics, consumer products and the biotech industries. She also serves on the board of directors of the Site Selectors Guild, the world’s foremost organization for site selection consultants, and is a frequent speaker at economic development conferences.
