Davis & Floyd’s Ryan Hertzfeld earns Professional Landscape Architect certification

Davis & Floyd, Inc. announced that Ryan Hertzfeld recently earned his Professional Landscape Architecture (PLA) certification. This certification is regulated by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).
The certification process includes obtaining an undergraduate degree in Landscape Architecture, a four-part rigorous licensing exam, and an apprenticeship. Once earned, South Carolina state law requires licensees to complete continuing education hours in order to maintain their license.

Hertzfeld’s design and planning experience includes master planning for industrial, commercial, and residential developments. He is involved in all aspects of the process including client communication and coordination; site analysis and inventory; conceptual design; hardscape; planting plans; furnishing and lighting layouts; presentation graphics; and construction drawings and details. His strong graphic skills include hand and digital renderings as well as 3D modeling. He also has experience with construction management and subcontractor coordination.
Hertzfeld joined Davis & Floyd in 2015. He received his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Clemson University in 2008.
