OOBE dedicates home for the Jackson Family

On Wednesday, local apparel company OOBE dedicated the most recent home to be built for Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County, a home for the Jackson family.
As a Habitat program participant, Jasmine Jackson will complete over 200 hours of sweat equity working to build her home and the homes of others, as well as 25 hours of homeownership classes. She will pay an affordable mortgage for the home.
This is OOBE’s second build with Habitat. The company previously built and dedicated a home in honor of former Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson, the son of a Habitat homeowner who is the inaugural recipient of Habitat International’s Next Generation award. OOBE co-CEO’s Tom Merritt and Mike Pereyo have also participated in Habitat Greenville’s annual CEO build.

We are able to come alongside Habitat and be part of their sustained momentum that has greatly blessed so many families for decades. We thank God for providing the resources that enable us to be part of such a rich experience.”
During the dedication, build partners and sponsors presented the Jackson family with gifts that will prepare them for life as homeowners, including tools, a vacuum cleaner, lawnmower and cleaning supplies. In addition, they received a watercolor by local artist Carol Hoffman and handmade quilts for each family member from Nimble Thimbles Quilt Guild.
