Habitat for Humanity ReStore of Greenville County announces its Grand Opening – December 2nd

November 29, 2017

3033 Wade Hampton Boulevard

Habitat for Humanity ReStore will open its new location at 3033 Wade Hampton Boulevard in Greenville on December 2, 2017 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. A full schedule of exciting prize giveaways, upcycling demonstrations, and family-fun activities are planned for shoppers during the Grand Opening event from 9:30 am-2:00 pm.

The community is invited to commemorate the celebration with a ribbon cutting at 9:30 am, followed by prize drawings, craft demonstrations and free do-it-yourself activities. The first 50 customers will be welcomed with a surprise gift bag and all shoppers can spin the prize wheel for discounts throughout the day. Lunch can be purchased on-site by food truck vendor Automatic Taco, and customers will enjoy live music, games and the Mt. Dew gaming trailer provided by radio guest 99.5 Chuck FM.

Funds generated through the ReStore’s sale of new and lightly used donations of appliances, furniture, household goods, and construction supplies support Habitat’s Greenville’s mission of creating affordable homeownership opportunities for families in need in Greenville County.

The new ReStore will serve customers with over 26,000 square feet of shopping space. In preparation for this new location, former locations on Rutherford Road and Wade Hampton Boulevard have been closed.
According to Mark Steenback, Director of ReStore Operations, “The Habitat ReStore is proud to open our new location on Wade Hampton Boulevard while still providing the same great quality of new and used goods that our customers have come to love and expect from our stores. Our grand opening event is an exciting way for the community to be a part of the important work of empowering local families with strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.”

The new location will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Donations are gladly accepted from individuals and corporations during those times. A forklift is available at each ReStore to handle tractor-trailer loads. Free donation pick-up is also available and can be arranged by calling 864-312-5016 or visiting https://www.habitatgreenville.org/restore/about-the-restores. A full list of accepted items can be viewed on the website as well.
